October 2024 - Step Up to Breast Cancer Challenge

Introducing MERLYN's  ‘Step Up to Breast Cancer’ challenge taking place throughout October 2024 in support of the Pink Ribbon Foundation

Throughout the month of October 2024, MERLYN wants our KBB industry colleagues, suppliers, and supporters to sign up and take as many steps as they can to raise funds for the Pink Ribbon Foundation. Participants are urged to gain sponsorship for their efforts, with all proceeds going directly to the Foundation’s work in supporting breast cancer patients

The campaign is designed to not only raise funds but also promote health and wellness among participants, reflecting MERLYN’s ethos of wellness and delivering better living spaces. All participants who register will be entered into a draw to a chance to win a luxurious spa weekend.

The average risks of breast cancer increase in women aged 50 or over. Getting older increases your chance of getting breast cancer, with most breast cancer cases diagnosed in women over 50.
However, this does not mean that only women over 50 are at risk. Breast cancer screening saves lives, and women of all ages should get familiar with breast self checks.

The Pink Ribbon Foundation (Reg. Charity No. 1080839) is a grant making trust with a mission to fund projects and provide financial support to UK charities which relieve the needs of people who are suffering from, or who have been affected by breast cancer or who work to advance the understanding of breast cancer, its early detection and treatment.
